- Merit Scholarship 1 (Top Tier): A highly competitive award that offers a 50% tuition reduction for incoming undergraduate students displaying exceptional academic scores.
- Merit Scholarship 2 (Second Tier): A partial scholarship offering a 30% tuition reduction to support student profiles that fall just underneath the highest bracket.

- Merit Scholarship 1 Recipients: Covers exactly 50% of the baseline tuition fee costs for undergraduate tracks.
- Merit Scholarship 2 Recipients: Covers exactly 30% of the baseline tuition fee costs for undergraduate tracks.
Duration of the Award
- Term Renewal: The merit scholarship values are retained and continued in subsequent semesters, provided the student stays aligned with standard institutional performance requirements.
- Retention Penalties: Continuation of the tuition waiver is strictly dependent on keeping academic progress strong. Students must not drop below specific Grade Point Average (GPA) expectations or breach university codes.
- Reduction or Loss Rule: For the 50% Merit Scholarship 1 tier, the award continues into subsequent semesters only if the student achieves a minimum GPA of 3.7 out of 4.0 for their undergraduate studies. For the 30% Merit Scholarship 2 tier, recipients must maintain a minimum CGPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 to retain the waiver each semester.
Note: Bursary-based awards (Fall Bursary, International Bursary, UAE Nationals, DEWA, RTA) are tied to continued enrollment on selected programmes and do not carry a merit GPA renewal threshold, but are subject to standard university code compliance. Dropping below the designated mark for the merit tiers can lead to the loss or downward modification of the merit waiver.

Application Process
- Institutional Application: Students must apply during the specified submission periods managed by the university administration within their intake term.
- Committee Clearance: All financial awards and merit-based disbursements are cleared explicitly through a mandated internal institutional ad-hoc committee.
- Waiver Disbursement: The scholarship funds do not pay out as direct cash; they are distributed strictly as an institutional reduction on outstanding semester tuition dues.
Eligibility & Document Requirements
- Merit Scholarship 1 Threshold: Requires a validated score of more than 95% on secondary school final board exams (applicable across CBSE, UK, US, or other global equivalent boards).
- Merit Scholarship 2 Threshold: Requires a validated secondary board exam score falling between 85% up to 95%. Note: these UG thresholds apply to high school (Grade 12) final exam results only.
- Postgraduate Merit Criteria: Master’s applicants are assessed on their bachelor’s degree results. Based on official Amity scholarship criteria: a bachelor’s degree score of 75% or above (or equivalent GPA ≥3.0/4.0) qualifies for the 30% (Merit Scholarship 2) tier.
Note: Currently, Amity Dubai does not publish a separate 50% postgraduate merit band; PG applicants achieving exceptionally high scores should contact admissions for individual assessment. International postgraduate equivalencies (e.g. UK 2:1 / 2:2, US GPA 3.0+) are accepted. Entry bursaries are validated based on the region where your Grade 12 education was completed (inside vs. outside the UAE), or employment with DEWA/RTA, or UAE National status.
