Scholarship
Overview
- The Energy Pioneers program is ENEC’s talent development/scholarship program aimed at UAE Nationals (Emiratis) to build a pipeline of qualified experts in the nuclear and energy sectors.
- It supports students to pursue degrees (bachelor’s, master’s) in specialised engineering / nuclear science fields, often in collaboration with universities (local and international)
- Also includes vocational / diploma training pathways (e.g. Diploma in Nuclear Technology (DNT)) for high school graduates, designed to train local operators and technicians for the Barakah nuclear power plant and associated facilities.
- After completion, scholars often join ENEC or subsidiary entities in roles supporting the UAE’s nuclear power operations.
