Overview
The MAHE Dubai Merit Scholarship framework is a key financial support mechanism designed to attract and reward high-achieving students at Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), Dubai Campus, a MoHESR-licensed, CAA-accredited, and KHDA 5-star rated institution located in Dubai International Academic City (DIAC). Established in the UAE for over 25 years, MAHE Dubai serves a diverse student community of 3,100+ students from 50+ nationalities across more than 50 academic programmes.
- Merit-Based UG Scholarship: Provides incoming undergraduate students with tiered tuition fee waivers ranging from 15% to 30%, determined directly by their final aggregate marks in qualifying board examinations (CBSE, ISC, A Level, or O Level). Continuation of the scholarship is subject to maintaining the academic performance criteria outlined below.
- Merit-Based PG Scholarship: Provides incoming postgraduate (non-MBA) students a 10% tuition fee waiver based on their undergraduate degree percentage and work experience profile.
- MBA Scholarship: Provides incoming MBA students a 15% tuition fee waiver based on their undergraduate degree percentage and work experience profile.
- Sports Scholarship: Students who have represented national or state teams are eligible for a tuition fee waiver ranging from 5% to 50% for the first year, assessed by the Sports Committee through a personal interview and document evaluation.
- Alumni Scholarship: Students who have completed their undergraduate programmes at MAHE Dubai are eligible for a 25% waiver on the full programme fee, in addition to any applicable merit scholarship.
- Mahila Sarvashiksha Abhiyan (Girl Child Scholarship): Offered in partnership with the Embassy of India, this scholarship provides a 100% tuition fee waiver to empower women through education and skill development.
- Al Da'em Scholarship Program: A need-based scholarship made possible through contributions from MAHE Dubai alumni, corporates, philanthropists, and compassionate individuals, providing targeted financial support to deserving students.

Maximum Scholarship Award per Student
- Undergraduate Entrants: A maximum of 30% tuition fee waiver is available for CBSE/ISC students with an aggregate above 95%. A Level students with 2 A Stars qualify for the 30% bracket. Scholarship tiers begin at 15% for CBSE/ISC scores of 70%–79% or equivalent A Level and O Level grades.
- Postgraduate Entrants (non-MBA): A 10% tuition fee waiver is available for students holding a UG degree with 70% or above (for less than 3 years work experience) or 60% or above (for more than 3 years work experience).
- MBA Entrants: A 15% tuition fee waiver is available for students holding a UG degree with 70% or above (for less than 3 years work experience) or 60% or above (for more than 3 years work experience).
- Mahila Sarvashiksha Abhiyan: Provides a 100% tuition fee waiver for eligible women students, in partnership with the Embassy of India.
- Alumni: A 25% waiver on the full programme fee is available to students who completed their undergraduate degree at MAHE Dubai, in addition to the applicable merit scholarship.
- Sports: A waiver of 5% to 50% of the first-year tuition fee, based on the level of sporting achievement, as assessed by the Sports Committee.
Duration of the Award
- Scholarship Continuation: For standard multi-year UG and PG programmes, the merit scholarship is subject to annual renewal review based on the academic performance criteria outlined below. For 1-year postgraduate programmes and PG Diplomas, the confirmed discount applies seamlessly across the full flat programme fee without a secondary year review.
- Retention Benchmarks: To retain the scholarship for subsequent academic years, students must: achieve a minimum CGPA of 7.00 in the previous year; have no academic backlogs in the previous year; not have been subject to disciplinary action under university policy; and not fall under the academic or financial dropout category as per university policy.
- Sports Scholarship Duration: Sports scholarships are awarded for the first year of study. Continuation of the award beyond the first year is subject to review by the Sports Committee.
- Alumni Scholarship: The 25% alumni fee waiver applies to the full programme fee for the postgraduate programme enrolled in at MAHE Dubai.

application details
Application Process
Merit-First Allocation: UG merit scholarships are assessed automatically during the admissions review, based on the Grade 12 board results submitted at the time of application. Scholarships may be provisionally offered during the application process, and are confirmed only after final Grade 12 results are submitted. No separate scholarship application form is required for the merit-based category.
Online Application Portal: All candidates apply through the MAHE Dubai central admissions portal at manipaldubai.com. Complete all required fields accurately and pay the applicable application and registration fee (AED 3,150 for all UG programmes; AED 1,680 for all PG, Foundation, Certificate, and PhD programmes). A Caution Deposit of AED 500 (refundable) is payable at the time of registration. Scholarship discounts do not apply to application fees, registration fees, or caution deposits; they apply strictly to instructional tuition fee invoices.
Sports Scholarship Process: Candidates applying for the Sports Scholarship must submit their application through the admissions office and appear for a personal interview with the Sports Committee. Award is made based on document evaluation and interview recommendation.

Eligibility & Continuation Requirements
- Sports Scholarship Criteria
National / State Team Representation: Students who have represented national or state teams are eligible for a 5%–50% first-year tuition fee waiver, awarded on the recommendation of the Sports Committee following a personal interview and document evaluation.
- Alumni Scholarship Criteria
MAHE Dubai Alumni: Students who have completed their undergraduate programme at MAHE Dubai are eligible for a 25% waiver on the full programme fee, in addition to the applicable merit scholarship.
- Continuation Requirements (All Scholarships)
Minimum CGPA: Students must have scored a minimum CGPA of 7.00 in the previous academic year.
No Academic Backlog: Students must have no academic backlog in the previous year.
No Disciplinary Action: Students must not have been subject to any disciplinary incident as per university policy.
Enrolment Status: Students must not fall under the academic or financial dropout category as per university policy.
One-Year Programme Limitation: For all one-year programmes and PG Diplomas, the confirmed scholarship discount is applied seamlessly across the full flat programme fee. No separate year-end renewal review is required for these programmes.

Info
- Non-Transferability: All MAHE Dubai Merit Scholarships apply exclusively to the Dubai Campus operation and cannot be transferred to any other Manipal institution, including campuses in Manipal, Mangalore, Bengaluru, Jamshedpur, or Malaysia, or to any other institution.
- Combined Scholarship: Students who qualify for more than one scholarship category (e.g., merit and alumni) may receive both concessions, subject to university policy. Students should contact the Admissions Office to confirm combined scholarship eligibility.
- Fee Payment & Scholarship Adjustment: Scholarships are provisionally offered during the application process and finalised after submission of official final results. All fees must be paid as per the installment schedule. Scholarship adjustments are applied as per the confirmed award.
- Application and Registration Fee: The application and registration fee is non-refundable. A Caution Deposit of AED 500 is payable at registration and is refundable at the end of the programme after deduction for any damages or losses.
- Fees Payment Mode: Annual tuition fees are payable in four installments. The first instalment is payable in cash, credit/debit card, or current-dated cheque. Students must deposit post-dated cheques for the remaining instalments at the time of the first payment. Cheques should be made in favour of Manipal Education.
- Disciplinary Clause: The decision of the institute on all matters related to scholarships and concessions is final. The institute reserves the right to discontinue any scholarship or concession at any time if a student is found guilty of any disciplinary breach.
