SP Jain Merit Scholarship

SP Jain School of Global Management Merit Scholarship program provides significant financial support to high-achieving students. Designed for both fresh incoming and continuing students at the Dubai campus, this scholarship scheme acts as a tuition fee discount to encourage academic excellence and foster a globally diverse learning environment.

• New Undergraduate Student Scholarships: Offered to incoming bachelor's students based on a holistic view of the candidate's profile, including academic performance and interview outcomes. Outstanding achievements in sports, social service, or extracurricular activities at a national or international level are also considered.

• New Postgraduate Student Scholarships: Available in two categories - Category A (holistic profile evaluation including academics, institutional ranking, work experience, and interview) and Category B (standardised entrance test scores with published award tiers). Both require strong interview performance.

• Continuing Student Merit Scholarships: Current SP Jain students who sustain the required CGPA can retain their scholarship for successive terms, subject to maintaining the Code of Conduct and satisfying ongoing academic milestones.

Note: In rare postgraduate cases, scholarships may also be offered on housing fees in addition to tuition. Accepted entrance tests for Postgraduate Merit Scholarship Category B include CAT, GMAT, GRE, and SPJAT (SP Jain's own aptitude test).

Maximum Award per Student

• Undergraduate Entrants: Various levels of tuition fee scholarships, up to full tuition coverage. The exact award percentage is determined through holistic review and communicated via the offer letter.

• Postgraduate Entrants (Merit Category A): Award amount determined through holistic profile review; specific amounts are communicated via offer letter.

Note: SP Jain Aptitude Test is an internal 50-minute online exam offered by the university as an alternative for students who have not taken the GMAT, GRE, or CAT

Duration of the Award

Multi-Term Renewal: The scholarship applies across the duration of study, provided students continue to register in consecutive semesters and satisfy ongoing academic milestones.

Retention Requirements: Students who earn scholarships must maintain a required CGPA at the end of every academic year and abide by the Code of Conduct during the program. Specific CGPA thresholds are not publicly listed and are communicated individually via each student's offer letter.

Application Process

• Integrated Application Process: There is no separate, standalone scholarship portal. Instead, the Merit Scholarship application is embedded directly within SP Jain’s main admissions form - simply tick the scholarship checkbox and use the essay prompt to explain why financial assistance is warranted. Apply directly via SP Jain’s official admission portal. The sooner the admissions application is submitted, the greater the chance of receiving a scholarship, as awards are evaluated on a rolling basis.

Eligibility & Document Requirements

• Undergraduate Merit Scholarship: Awarded based on the candidate's academic performance and interview. Outstanding achievements in sports, social service, or extracurricular activities at a national or international level are also considered. The scholarship is conditional on achieving the scores mentioned in the offer letter in Year 12, should results not be in hand at the time of offer.

• Postgraduate Merit Scholarship - Category A: Holistic profile evaluation including high academics across graduation years, high entrance test scores, graduation from a top-ranked institution, working at a top-ranked company, high interview performance, exceptional post-graduate qualifications such as Chartered Accountant or other graduate certificates, and outstanding achievements in social service, sports, and extracurricular activities.

• Postgraduate Merit Scholarship - Category B: Primarily test-score driven with high aptitude test scores (CAT, GMAT, GRE, or SPJAT) and strong interview performance as the key criteria (refer to score table above).

• Retention CGPA Thresholds: Students must maintain the required cumulative CGPA throughout the program. Exact thresholds are detailed in each student’s individual offer letter (see Retention Requirements above).

• Non-Transferability: SP Jain Merit Scholarships are strictly tied to the designated multi-city cohort tracks (Dubai, Singapore, Sydney, Mumbai) and cannot be transferred to unapproved external educational partners. Importantly, the tuition discount applies equally across all campuses in the cohort rotation - the same scholarship percentage or fixed award that applies in Dubai continues when students rotate to the Singapore or Sydney campuses in Years 2, 3, or 4.

Note: however, that living costs and accommodation expenses vary significantly between cities and are not covered by this scholarship, so independent budgeting for each campus city is strongly recommended.

• Single Award Cap: Students can avail only one category of scholarship at a time. All decisions by Admissions are final. Immediate Enrollment Rule: If a student fails to register and enroll in the immediate intake semester for which the scholarship was granted, the award is automatically forfeited.

• Rolling Basis: As the scholarship is evaluated alongside program admission rounds on a rolling basis, early application significantly improves the chances of receiving an award.
